A little bit about me.
I’ve always been surrounded by design, even before I realised it was something I wanted to pursue. My dad worked in construction for most of my childhood and often brought me on-site to see the projects he was working on. I was exposed to the world of construction from an early age, watching projects come to life from start to finish. My mum, on the other hand, had an incredible eye for interiors - she transformed our childhood home into something that could have come straight out of an Elle Decoration magazine. Looking back, I can see how much that shaped my appreciation for beautiful, functional spaces.
It wasn’t until 2022, while working in sales and living in my first tiny London flat, that I truly discovered my own passion for interior design. I was burnt out from a job that didn’t inspire me and found comfort in decorating our small one-bedroom apartment. With the limitations of renting and little storage to work with, I learned how to creatively solve problems and make the space feel warm, personal, and practical. That process made me realise how much joy I found in creating spaces that reflect personality and simply feel right to live in.
Soon after, I transitioned into marketing within the corporate real estate industry, where I learned about workplace design and how environments can foster connection, collaboration, and wellbeing. Working alongside global design brands like Haworth and Unispace only deepened my passion for how spaces influence people’s lives.
In November 2024, I began studying Professional Interior Design with the National Design Academy while continuing my marketing career full-time. Balancing both has been challenging but incredibly rewarding - each complements the other, teaching me to see design from both creative and strategic perspectives.
Fast forward to today, I’ve now graduated, receiving my accredited diploma, and I am continuing to grow my marketing career within the commercial real estate world while developing my interior design skills, knowledge, and confidence - working towards making my dream a reality: becoming a full-time interior designer.
